For my family 2019 was a really tough year. three countries and three schools in a row! It was a typical Expat Family life situation as many families in this school have experienced .
Everything had happened so fast… to change school, to find a house, to wait for the container with our stuff, to leave friends ,trying to make new ones, dealing with emotions, missing the family , trying to fit in the “Miami lifestyle” and to understand how is to attend a Public School in USA.
For me as a professional and as a mom was really hard to change constantly. Then I asked myself, where can I feel supported and who can understand what I am dealing with?
The answer was easy: The ISPA PTSA!
Why? Because I met incredibly, nice, super qualified and proactive women, dealing with similar situations and trying to do the best for our kids. Making ISPA more than a school a big family.
Before Covid 19 I went to the PTSA meetings, I volunteered for the Music Night, Valentine’s Day and I attended the ISPA aperitive and the Gala Dinner. That was enough to make me feel relieved, happy and welcome in this city.
My two ISPA students were supported and helped by their teachers, counselors and of course Natalia, always smiling, helping, and making us feel welcome, happy and grateful.
This is exactly the” Ispa Spirit”: an International Community with a wonderful group of teachers, students and workers giving their best every day to achieve Academic Excellence in a great educational endeavor.
You are all invited to be part of ISPA PTSA!
We are the Parent Teacher Student Association at International Studies preparatory Academy and we are. here to share our experiences
